Professional Development  

Trek 21 was a 3-year plan designed to bring about a deep and lasting change of the integration of instructional technologies into teaching.  It was a grant funded project through the U.S. Department of Education in collaboration with the PT3 (Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to use Technology). Links to Higher Education and P-12 Trek-21 projects, & papers and presentations are included on the WVU site.

The Trinidad Technology Integration Educator's Series (TTIES)  project is a series of events planned for higher education faculty in Trinidad. The goals of the project include:

  1. Establishing pedagogical and technical foundations needed for integrating instructional technologies into higher education courses during the summer seminar.
  2. Providing for "Continuity Meetings" in the fall and spring to address best practices and issues related to the successful integration of ITs by summer participants.

In addition to a suite of teaching and learning tools, WebCT Vista provides content management options that make it easy to efficiently distribute, share, and reuse content.
